Unfortunately, Leon’s Cafe will be closed whilst a water pressure issue is rectified however, the events space is still open as normal.
We are hoping the water issue is soon resolved and Leon’s Cafe will be back trading again very soon.

The first corporate volunteering day since the opening of the Hub. The Friends were pleased to welcome a group from Aviva; who chose to use one of their company volunteering days to help out at Firs Farm.
They put their backs into it; clearing away the weeds around the tennis courts; then laying permeable membrane and mulch. After a break for lunch in the Hub, the team planted whips. These are small shrubs, which will knit together to form a windbreak around the tennis courts; and a wildlife corridor.
If your company would like to use Firs Farm for corporate volunteering, please email friendsoffirsfarm@gmail.com

After eight years of campaigning and fundraising; two steps forward and one back, we now have an exciting new community space and home for the Charity, with a café, toilets, and other facilities.
The Hub IS OPEN
Stage one is the cafe, which is currently 8 am – 4 pm, seven days a week. It is hoped to extend the opening hours during the summer months.
The Hub is a public building. Toilets are open for anyone to use during cafe opening hours, including the Changing Places toilet; the first in an Enfield park.
Community space. This is now open for hire, check out the What’s On page for activities you can join.
The Hub is the home of the Friends of Firs Farm. We will shortly be putting up a notice board, where you can find out more about the Charity and how you can get involved in supporting Firs Farm.
Please excuse the Hub’s outside appearance, especially after the heavy rain. A bike/buggy shelter is currently being installed, as well as security fencing at the back.
The Friends would like to thank all the residents and organisations who have helped us bring facilities to Firs Farm. Thanks also to Enfield Council for leasing us the land, providing utilities, finance, paths to our front door, and for having faith in us!
Thanks for waiting, we are sure you’ll agree that the wait has been worth it!

On November 14th, two Friends’ Trustees, Toni Guiver and Helen Osman, were delighted to witness Enfield Council and Thames 21 receive a prestigious global environmental award.
At the awards event, held at the Royal Geographical Society, we watched Ian Russell, who heads up the Council’s Water Course team, and Sam Bentley-Toon from Thames 21 pick up the ‘Local Nature Recoverers’ award for their joint work over the past ten years in restoring neglected waterways, creating new wetlands and woods; reducing flood risk and pollution.
In their acceptance speech Ian and Sam stressed that:
“local volunteers are at the heart of the action.”
“The scheme brings residents better health and access to nature”
