Sport
Spending time outside is vital to our physical & mental wellbeing.
One of the Friends’ most important missions is to encourage people to ‘Get Out & Get Active in Firs Farm.
Whether it is taking the dog for a walk, or strolling around the wetlands with your buggy, children, or friends; it all counts as exercise!
Around the edge of Firs Farm is a one-mile circuit; ideal for exercisers of all ages. A perfect safe space for young cyclists and scooters.
Football
Football has been played at Firs Farm for many decades. Sadly in recent years, following the closure of the changing rooms. there has been less use made of the pitches. However, the newly opened Community Hub has a dedicated Referees Changing Room, toilets and a cafe/takeaway hatch for players to use. A generous donation from Sport England toward the Community Hub is helping to kickstart to football at Firs Farm.
Winchmore Hockey Club would love to be able to play at Firs Farm, but more fundraising will be needed for a multi-sports pitch.
Pitches are booked via Enfield Council.
For more information or to make a sports pitch booking, parkactivities@enfield.gov.uk.
